Common Toilet Problems
Problem: Toilet tank is empty and will not flush.
Solution: The fill valve is working properly and prevented additional water loss due to a leak. To fix the leak, first ensure that the chain is not tangled or the flapper is not stuck open. If both of those are okay, you will likely need a new flapper. Replace it with a premium Korky® flapper for optimum performance. Once the source of the leak has been fixed, restart the valve and fill the tank again.

Problem: Fill valve turns on, and water level rises above top of overflow tube, spilling into overflow tube.
Solution: Confirm that the fill valve is adjusted to the proper height. If this does not solve the problem, please contact Lavelle's customer service for further troubleshooting at (800) 528-3553.

Problem: Toilet tank fills too slowly.
Solution: Confirm that water supply valve is open all the way, and there are no kinks in supply line. If flow does not improve, please contact Lavelle's customer service at (800) 528-3553.

Problem: There is a steady stream of water flowing down from under the red cover when the tank refills.
Solution: Do nothing. Some water flow under the cover is normal while the tank is refilling. It will stop when the valve shuts off.

Water Flow
Water will flow from 3 areas on the fill valve during the fill cycle
1) Base of valve shaft
2) Through refill tube into flush valve overflow tube
3) Area where red cover meets black body
