Lavelle Industries introduces Chlorazone^® to the QuietFill^®

Lavelle Industries proudly announces a superior performing Korky^® QuietFill^® Toilet Fill Valve. The Korky QuietFill is now even better due to its Chlorazone^® main valve rubber diaphragm. Chlorazone is Lavelle's proprietary red rubber formulation designed to withstand harsh toilet tank cleaners and municipal water treatments that can cause early failure in other fill valves. Chlorazone is the same rubber formulation used in the red, premium Korky Plus toilet flapper. This improvement ensures a longer, more trouble-free service life for the QuietFill.

Lavelle Industries, located in Burlington, WI, made a splash in the plumbing world in September 2000 with their acquisition of Hunter Plumbing Products, manufacturer of the popular and innovative Hunter 528 toilet tank fill valve. Upon completion of the buyout, Lavelle's first order of business was to bring the Hunter 528 into its Korky family and rename it the Korky QuietFill, a testament to its quiet operation.

The Korky QuietFill toilet fill valve has been proven to be twice as quiet as other leading valves. The fill valve comes complete with a five-year guarantee, a height adjustment mechanism to fit all two-piece toilets and most one-piece toilets, and meets all plumbing code requirements. Its 'no tools necessary' ease of installation will also shorten service calls.

The addition of the Korky QuietFill is just another milestone in Lavelle's long history of introducing quality products to the plumbing market since the company's inception in 1912. Their reputation for innovative products took hold with the revolutionary Korky toilet flapper in 1954. The patented Korky flapper replaced the cumbersome tank ball technology enabling contractors, as well as homeowners, to easily repair a leaking tank ball. Today the Korky is the number one selling toilet flapper in the country and is the blueprint for almost every other flapper on the market.

A newer innovation occurred in 1988 after it was discovered that aggressive chlorination methods being used by public water suppliers as well as the advent of highly concentrated toilet tank cleaners caused conventional toilet flappers to rapidly deteriorate. Lavelle's answer to the problem was its Chlorazone compound, which withstands these destructive elements. Chlorazone is an elastomer polymer offered in varying formulation, some of which are ANSI/NSF 61 certified. This compound is used to produce Lavelle's Korky Plus toilet flapper, which outlasts and outperforms all other toilet flappers in these harsh conditions.

Besides the Korky Plus and the Korky QuietFill products, Lavelle also manufactures faucet washers, gaskets, seals and other products made from premium Chlorazone rubber including KohlerÒ replacement flappers and MansfieldÒ valve seals. All of these Chlorazone products carry a five-year guarantee.
