Large 3" Special Brand Instructions
Do you have a Kohler® or Mansfield® toilet with a large 3-inch flush valve? You might need to make a quick adjustment to the flapper mounting arms before installing your new Korky flapper.
Kohler Special Instructions
Replacing a large 3-inch Kohler® Cimarron® toilet flapper with a Korky flapper is simple. When you take the new flapper out of the package, the mounting arms will be in the standard position. For this specific model, you will need to adjust the arms.
How to Adjust the Mounting Arms:
- Pull on the extra rubber near the plastic mounting arms
- Twist the plastic arms and rotate them 180 degrees - this allows the flapper to fit your Kohler Cimarron flush valve properly.
Mansfield Special Instructions
Replacing a large 3-inch Mansfield® Summit™ (386) toilet flapper with a Korky flapper is simple. If you have this model, the flush valve will have 2 different-sized pegs - one small and one large. When you take your flapper out of the package, there will be an additional black mounting arm included.
How to Replace the Mounting Arm:
- Pull the extra rubber and remove the original red plastic mounting arm - this will shrink the rubber that holds the mounting arm on, making the swap easier.
- Once the old arm is off, snap the larger black mounting arm onto the flapper so it fits your flush valve.
